On the evening of November 25, 2025, our institute participated in the 2026 International Student Recruitment Online Presentation hosted by the Office of International Student Affairs. Continuing the live-stream format, the event attracted over 200 aspiring international students from dozens of countries worldwide to participate in real time. Program directors and faculty from our International Office detailed program features and application requirements, inviting talented students globally to apply.

First, as the flagship English-taught master's program at the School, the International Public Policy (IPP) program was introduced by its Director, Li Haimo, who highlighted its unique strengths and training system through key aspects such as core features, foundational advantages, and graduation requirements. He explained that through internships in various fields both domestically and internationally, students not only gain deep insights into the public policy-making process but also hone their practical skills, laying a solid foundation for their future careers.

Subsequently, Zhang Yaning, Director of the “Chinese Politics and Diplomacy” program, highlighted that the CPD program is characterized by its “global perspective + Chinese insight.” The curriculum encompasses core modules such as Contemporary Chinese Diplomacy, Chinese Public Administration, and Comparative Politics. Course design balances theoretical tools, analytical skills, and practical knowledge, offering a flexible elective system and abundant international exchange opportunities. This empowers students to deepen their expertise in Chinese studies while building dual competencies in cross-cultural communication and academic research.

Li Jun, Director of the dual-degree Master's program in “Europe and Asia in International Affairs,” provided a detailed overview of the flagship Fudan-Paris-Sciences Po dual-degree program, which boasts a 15-year history of collaboration. This program equips students with an international perspective while fostering a comprehensive and unique understanding of both Asia and Europe.

As the School's brand-new English-taught master's program launching in 2026, the Master Program in BRICS and the Global South (MPB+) precisely addresses global development hotspots. Focusing on BRICS cooperation and the rise of the Global South, it provides an innovative academic platform for global students aspiring to deepen their expertise in international development. Program Director Peng Zeyu explained that the initiative aims to cultivate versatile professionals equipped with insights into Global South development issues and international cooperation management capabilities. The curriculum features core modules such as BRICS governance and South-South cooperation, complemented by practical components including field research and internships at international organizations. Through an innovative curriculum, top-tier academic resources, and extensive practical platforms, the program empowers students to seize the era's opportunities presented by BRICS cooperation and the development of the Global South.

Following this, Chen Xing, Director of the “Asian Campus” program, summarized the project's achievements in promoting exchange and cooperation among Asian universities. The core highlight of the program lies in its “multi-university joint training” model, with partner institutions including Fudan University, Korea University, and Kobe University. Students can choose from multiple training pathways, participate in cross-university joint courses and internships at international organizations, making it an excellent platform for expanding academic networks across Asia.

As a new professional degree program launched in 2024, the Master of International Affairs (MIA) program in Chinese will continue to admit international students in 2026. Program Director Yu Yixuan provided a detailed overview of the program's research focus and curriculum structure. She explained that the MIA program is dedicated to cultivating specialized professionals who master international engagement protocols and market dynamics, paving the way for international students to pursue careers in China's international affairs sector.

Yu Bowen, Director of the English-taught Doctoral Program in International Politics, introduced the DPIP program as an academic doctoral program delivered entirely in English. It focuses on cultivating world-class academic researchers and high-level professionals in specialized fields. Leveraging the School's deep disciplinary foundations, the program provides students with systematic academic training and abundant research resources.

Finally, Yuan Qianli, Director of the newly launched English-taught doctoral program “Doctoral Program of Public Administration and Policy (DPAP)” in 2026, provided a detailed explanation of the program's specific content and distinctive features. Compared to the School's long-established Doctoral Program in International Politics, DPAP centers on cross-contextual research in public administration and policy. It establishes a training system integrating “theoretical refinement + methodological mastery + practical empowerment.” The program focuses on core topics such as public management theory and public policy analysis while strengthening tool training in advanced quantitative research methods. Furthermore, it employs a comparative perspective to bridge theoretical frameworks and case studies of governance practices across Eastern and Western contexts. Together with the DPIP program, it forms a “dual pillar” framework for global governance—the former delving into inter-state political issues while the latter concentrates on public affairs governance practices—jointly building a platform for cultivating high-level, multidisciplinary talent.

Building upon our established international academic training system at the master's and doctoral levels, our school will launch a brand-new fully English-taught undergraduate program for international talent development in 2026. We participated in the online recruitment seminar for the 2026 fully English-taught undergraduate program for international students, hosted by the Office of International Student Affairs on December 2. Professor Bo Yan and Associate Professor Zhou Lingyi provided a comprehensive overview of the Undergraduate Program of International Organizations and Global Governance, detailing the school's profile, program features, credit requirements, curriculum structure, and practical training components. This program is dedicated to cultivating versatile talents with a global perspective, solid theoretical foundations, and practical capabilities, laying a robust foundation for careers or further studies in international organizations, multinational corporations, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Additionally, Bleona Shkullaku from Italy and Natalia Sannikova from Russia shared their personal learning experiences. They offered vivid and authentic insights from perspectives including course experiences, cross-cultural adaptation, and skill development, providing valuable references for the attending students.

Guided by the educational philosophy of “International Vision, Excellence for the Public,” the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University consistently strives to create a high-quality academic growth platform for international students worldwide. In 2026, we look forward to welcoming aspiring scholars from across the globe to Fudan, where we will grow together in the vast realm of international politics and public affairs, writing brilliant chapters in academic achievement!
